Food.... WOW and proud of myself

WOW = holy cow, this kid can eat! Here is the breakdown (in this order too) of what Kaya had for lunch today:
~1/3 can of canned corn
~1 whole (2 slices) pb sandwich (this was to tide her over while pasta was cooking)
~1 helping pasta with parmesan cheese (usually she will eat two helpings)
**I would have THOUGHT that after all of that, she would be FULL. Nope... she said "More, please Momma". So, I thought ok, you have not had your fruit with lunch yet...so I opened a can of peaches and gave her some. Well she then ate...
~1 WHOLE can of peaches (mind you, this was the last thing she ate of all above, so she had not gotten full on fruit)
~1 glass of milk (drank throughout this binge)

Now, I think this is a TON of food... both for a 3 year old but for a person, period, lol. I could not eat this much in on sitting! I called Mark to tell him and he thought she would get sick. No, she does this from time to time (usually breakfast and lunch eats too). I would predict she is ready for a growth spurt!!

Proud of myself = Connor's lunch today. So, Connor decided early this week (Wednesday) that he is done with baby food and ready for the real food that his sister eats! He has been eating cheerios, toast pieces, wagon wheels (no interest at ALL for puffs anymore) for awhile (about a month). Well, he had started to spit out his food... like sweet potatoes that he has always loved. Well, I thought... ok then. Wednesday for lunch, I gave him cut up pasta and cut up cooked carrots and he PIGGED out! I came to a conclusion as he still LOVES his rice cereal and almost screams when he sees it, lol. He wants food he has to 'chew' that is chunkier.

So, we come to today's lunch. My fridge and pantry are SUPER low (I am talking like 3 cans of food total, lol) as I have been waiting for payday today (woohoo). I have a ton of baby food (of course as I stocked up to make sure I was good for the week... now have a ton more than needed with him eating other stuff, lol). I started him with some cut up pasta which he ate happily. Then I started to feed him some baby food peas. Well, he was not having it. I would have mixed in some rice cereal if I had anymore (just ran out this AM... mentioned my pantry was LOW). I thought for a minute and then looked at the pasta... light bulb went on. Some pasta mixed in later and he was more than happy with the peas. There ya go! :) I was just proud of myself that I thought outside the box....... HUGE accomplishment for me right now, really it is, lol. I have a lot going on (all good though).. just a lot of my plate, so my brain is a bit frazzled... oh and my bootie is in pain from kickboxing/ab workout (great workout but dang, I had forgotten about those muscles, lol).
