Happy HEART Day

As we celebrate a Hallmark holiday in true fashion, I am reminded of my heart! We started the tradition of giving the kids each a flower this morning (something my mother did for myself and my sisters). K&C also each got a book and another little thing. I got some SLEEP bath from Mark (awww, I am in heaven) and the best present he could have given me... he took yesterday off and we were able to enjoy a rare day together (plus a few hours to myself... a true rarity!)... and even had a date last night. I am all about recognizing Vday, but in my eyes it is not a special day... it is just one day of 365 per year when I tell and show those that I love how I feel about them. So, why not think about my heart?

As I have embarked on a health mission (derailed some what, mind you.. but I am still there) by committing to my first 1/2 marathon, I am focusing on getting my heart in better shape! Heart disease is everywhere in my family, so it is always on my mind. Love yourself today, love others and love your heart!
