Frustrated!

Due to my severe procrastination, I might not be able to do something that is very important to me... donate the cord blood from this little one. Of course, I can bank the cord blood with a private company for myself or family's future use (still an option actually as they can overnight a kit to me to take to the hospital), but I really want to donate to someone/research that needs it now. Oh, I am remembering all of this from when I looked into this when I was pg with Kaya and ran into similar problems. I did not presist then, but now I am trying hard to make it happen. So, there is not a public bank in the entire state of Tennessee. There is a national public bank (Cryobanks International), but you have to complete the paperwork and get a kit by your 34th week in pregnancy (hense my frustration with my procrastination). I am thinking about lying, LOL. I have left a message with the NMDP (National Marrow Donor Program) in hopes they can help. I am just pissed with myself that I might miss out on this. Plus, it seems NUTS to me that with Vanderbilt so close (such an important hospital) that I cannot find a way to donate!!!!!!! Arghhh!
