Home Sweet Home....... so TRUE!

We are HOME!!!!! I decided to calculate the miles we traveled in this trip as it was a LOT, so here you go.. are you ready for this number?!?!?! This is a rough calculation (only did city locations not exact addresses, nor calculated driving time in the cities, etc...lol). OK, so really are you ready?!?

6,489 miles in 19 days!!!! That calculates to 342 miles per day! Mind you we flew to PDX in one day... then drove from Salem, OR to Sacramento, CA in ONE day (well one afternoon/night actually as we arrived to my mom's at 12:30am)... then drove to LA in one day... at Disneyland for two days.. then drove back to Sacramento in one day... then at my mom's for one day.. then flew to BNA (via LAX... don't ask why we didn't just fly from LAX when we were in LA.. long story there, lol).

Oh, I figured out we were on a ton of modes of transportation as well... airplane, boat, bus, train (boat and train rides at Disneyland... and bus shuttle to and from Disney to the hotel). What a trip!!!!!

We had a WONDERFUL time with family, friends and Mickey (and crew)... but it was a bit long to be away from home for all of us! I have a TON of pics from all above locations (including almost 300 pics from Disney... hey, it was my FIRST time there too, lol). I will upload pics here and there and get them posted someday (that will be a task all its own). For now, I am happy to be home... I missed our house a lot too... distance makes the heart grow founder as they say... I have more appreciation for my house and how I am attempting to decorate it too, lol. Oh, now that the trip and holidays are over.. and I know for SURE we are not moving anytime soon, I can start the list of projects (painting my living room, dining room and kitchen.. and re-finishing our table are at the top).

Oh, Mark has gotten a promotion... as fate would have it! He got the call on 12/18 as we were driving to his parents house from the airport!! He will work more of the details and such out tomorrow when he returns to work for the first time in 3 weeks!! I took Kaya (while the boys stayed at home) to a playdate this morning.. which included Kaya throwing a huge fit (as the official detox from the grandparents is in FULL swing) and catching up with friends (both her and I). We are going to dinner and small group at church tonight... something we have missed a TON.. both all the people and church as well. For the rest of the week, my goals are little (if any)!

Shout out to a couple of men I love..... Today is my nephew Jack's 5th Birthday...... Happy Big #5 Jack!!! Tomorrow is Elvis' Birthday (he would have been 74.. yikes!!! Yes, I LOVE Elvis... '68 Elvis that is. ;)
